What is S.A.D.D.

So, you ask what is S.A.D.D.? S.A.D.D. is Students Against Destructive Decisions. S.A.D.D. volunteers to give people pep talks and advice against drunk driving and bad decisions that could affect your future careers and how you live your life. This week S.A.D.D. is hosting a few activities and projects for our students in Ionia high School, so that they won’t make bad decisions, since after all it is Prom week and the students of 2017’s graduation is right around the corner.

S.A.D.D.’s Schedule For This Week

This is the S.A.D.D. poster and it received a total of 118 signatures.

5/8/Monday: Today during lunch S.A.D.D. members will be taking their time to encourage Seniors and Juniors mostly to sign this poster that says, “I pledge to have a safe and sober PROM.”

5/9/Tuesday: Today teacher’s will be receiving some “Lifesavers” to pass out to their class during third hour. The teacher will then read a note aloud to the class that will be related to being responsible, etc.

5/10/Wednesday: Today S.A.D.D. members will take their time from achievement hour to tie red ribbons around students car antenna’s, which symbolises doing responsible things that doesn’t mess up your future.Photo by: Ms. Jennifer Ward of Ionia High School

5/11/Thursday: Today S.A.D.D. members will write on the sidewalk with some chalk and write inspirational quotes and encouragements to other students.

Officer Cleveland giving seniors a drunk driving speech and what happens. He also included a story of how his 3 year old daughter died because of a drunk driving accident.

5/12/Friday: Today during seventh block/period Officer Cleveland will come and visit the Seniors and tell them a story about a drunk driver and what happened to a few kids that were in the car that got ran into.

So, if you are interested in this kind of stuff, S.A.D.D. members will welcome you at any time. We look forward to meeting any new recruits and people who are interested. Join, please.
