Imagine yourself in space with your friends doing your job as one of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Until you’re offered a high paying job, bringing us into the start of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2.

We meet the gang in space getting ready to hunt a creature with a bounty on it’s head while protecting their employers special cargo. Setting up defenses Rocket was in charge of the battle music, but got rudely interrupted by the creature they are hunting. Baby Groot plugs in the speaker, causing the music to start blasting. They return to the after finishing their task employer known as Ayesha, the leader of the golden people named the Sovereign. Receiving their pay they head off to the ship. Rocket shows Drax the cargo he stole, which angers the Sovereign, thus causing them to be chased off the planet. Chased through space by the Sovereign, their ship gets repeatedly shot to the point it cannot withstand anymore, so they need to crash land to the closest planet possible. A mysterious ship flies by saving The Guardians as they crash into the planet. Their savior lands on the planet meeting The Guardians. Star Lord asks, “who are you?”, and the stranger responds “I’m your father Peter”!

Cue the cliffhanger and black screen, that concludes this movie review. I really recommend this movie to people for Baby Groot, he’s a cute little tree person that needs you to see this movie!

It is currently playing in the Ionia Theatre.
