Nick Wharry, IHS Senior, is all set for his final year on the IHS Track Team.

 Spring time is here, and so is the fun! Spring withholds a number of different athletic activities here at IHS. Spring Sports include: Softball and baseball, boys and girls track, boys and girls lacrosse, girls tennis, and last but not least girls soccer. Event times and scores will be posted at www.ihsbulldgobeat.com under the recent sports scores section, so be sure to stay on track.

Nick Wharry and Emily Doesburg, both seniors at IHS, are active members in spring sports. Nick sprints to excel in track and Emily hits it out of left field in softball. Both are sad to say that 2012 will be their last year playing high school sports, but they plan to make the best out if it. Nick states, “Although I’ll be running college track, I will miss my friends and the atmosphere here at Ionia.” It is claimed to be that high school withholds the best years of one’s life. Emily says, “I’ve enjoyed playing softball with my teammates of four years now, and I will be sad to leave them.” Although it’s their last year here at IHS, the students and staff wish them both the best of luck.     

Now students, don’t hesitate to get out there and cheer on your classmates as they destroy the competition on the court, in the field, and on the track! Our players look forward to having a full student section and welcome al parents and family to come and join the fun.
