The 2012 Art Show was held from May 1to May 6, and had a nice turn out. Mrs. Fuller, the art teacher, is the person that directs the whole thing. She has been teaching at Ionia Public Schools for about 14 years. Many appreciate her for dedicating her time and energy to displaying her students’ art. Mrs. Fuller also relies on her students for helping set up and tear down the art exhibits.” Everything went smoothly, and everyone was a great help,” stated, Stephanie Graham, drawing and painting student.
The show consisted of ceramics, jewelry, paintings, drawings, and printmaking. No matter the quality of the work, everything was shown. Each type of art is equally distributed throughout the room, the west wing of the building. There was also a special area dedicated to just seniors for their senior spotlight. The room was open for classes to sign up and view the artwork of their fellow classmates.
This year had a great turn out. If you missed it this year, come see it next year. The art show is a great way to see if one Mrs. Fuller’s class has something that you could enjoy as an elective in next year’s schedule. There are several art classes to choose from. Anybody is welcome to join introductory art classes, no matter what level of drawing.
