What is Band-Aid? Its chance for the band and choir programs to raise funds for various things. More importantly, it’s a chance for students in both programs to show the town of Ionia what they’ve got. Both the band and choir students blew the roof off of Watt Auditorium on April 13, with the sole purpose of raising funds for the band and choir programs here at the Ionia High School.
Performer Ryan Elvert said, “This event is not just a chance to show our stuff… it’s a chance to show our stuff, to the people of Ionia.” Many of those involved in Band-Aid were more than eager to show off their talents, and raise funds at the same time. For anyone that didn’t make it to the performance, you surely missed out.
“When people come to this concert they are not only supporting the music program, they are getting a chance to see the wonderful musicians of Ionia,” stated performer Ryan Elvert. In years to come you won’t to miss the chance to see the great performances given by your peers, and support them at the same time.
